GUA SHA

  • Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves scraping the skin with a flat tool. It is typically performed using a smooth-edged instrument, such as a jade or rose quartz scraper.

  • Gua Sha helps promote blood circulation and relieve tension. The gentle scraping action is believed to release stagnant energy and encourage the body's natural healing processes. Gua sha is often used for facial rejuvenation and addressing various health concerns, leaving behind temporary red marks known as "sha" that are thought to signify improved energy flow.

CUPPING

  • Cupping is a therapeutic practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine where suction cups are applied to the skin to create a vacuum effect.

  • This technique enhances blood flow, promotes healing, and is commonly used to alleviate muscle tension and pain. Cupping leaves circular marks on the skin that are temporary, and its popularity has expanded globally as a complementary therapy for various health issues.

PERCUSIVE THERAPY

  • Percussive therapy is a form of massage that utilizes rapid, repetitive tapping or pounding motions to target specific areas of the body. Often delivered by a handheld device with interchangeable heads.

  • These percussive movements help to relieve muscle tension, improve blood circulation, and reduce soreness. The therapy is popular among athletes and individuals seeking effective muscle recovery and relaxation.

FUNCTIONAL RANGE CONDITIONING

  • Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) is a system of mobility training focused on improving joint health, flexibility, and overall movement capabilities. It involves a combination of controlled, articular (joint) rotations and specific exercises designed to expand usable ranges of motion.

  • FRC aims to enhance strength and flexibility simultaneously, promoting functional and resilient movement patterns for improved athletic performance and injury prevention.

FOAM ROLLING

  • Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release technique that involves using a cylindrical foam roller to apply pressure to various muscles and soft tissues.

  • By rolling the body over the foam roller, individuals can alleviate muscle tightness, reduce adhesions in the fascia, and enhance flexibility. This self-massage technique is commonly used as a pre- or post-workout practice to improve range of motion and alleviate muscle soreness.

TISSUE MANIPULATION

  • Tissue manipulation involves therapeutic techniques aimed at influencing the structure and function of the body's soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and connective tissue.

  • Skilled practitioners use hands-on methods such as massage, stretching, and manipulation to address pain, improve flexibility, and promote overall tissue health.
